The Hammersmith Society’s Awards are keenly sought. If a new scheme – large or small – makes a positive and beneficial contribution to our townscape we invite you to nominate it. It could be a new development, a refurbished older building for our conservation award, a much improved open space, the removal of an eyesore, an inviting shop-front – the choice is yours.
Nominations are made in Spring each year for developments completed within the last calendar year, the committee then short-lists and visits them. The winners will receive a plaque and a certificate presented at the AGM, usually held in June. Please go to AGMs for details of this years nominations, and how to make a nomination in future years.
Nancye Goulden Award – This Award is given for smaller schemes which have improved the local environment in some way – be it through a building or landscaping.
Conservation Award – for successful conservation projects in the borough.
Jane Mercer Award – for initiatives of benefit to Hammersmith which have involved proactive co-operation, collaboration and communication.
Wooden Spoons are given to ones that got it wrong.
